From rock bottom depression, to full confidence.I used to be the most insecure person you ever met.I was constantly searching for the answer to true lasting confidence, and I swore I would share the answer when I finally found it.I wanted so badly just to spend a few seconds without insecurity.Like many people, I thought “It’s probably because of my body. If I just get really fit, then I will feel confident.”So I went all in on fitness… but even after achieving a perfect 6-pack I was still insecure.I continued to hustle in every area of my life prove myself. At one point I was consistently working over 12 hours a day.Then in 2017, I hit rock bottom in my depression and I attempted suicide.The problem was never my body.It wasn’t fixable through any amount of hustle.And it wasn’t because I was gay.My entire life I had believed I am not enough.Growing up in a conservative legalistic environment taught me that who I am as a gay man is not lovable to God.I believed that part of my identity was flawed and broken and needed to change.And until that turning point, I had drowned myself in school, in work, in fitness, ANYTHING to appear worthy of love.And ultimately, worthy of self-love.If you’re struggling to find confidence you can probably identify with these.We people please to make sure our friends like us.We hustle at work to gain approval from our boss.We avoid conflict because we can’t handle the criticism.We procrastinate on things we care about to avoid failure.And every night our head hits the pillow with vivid memories of all the ways we fucked up today. And all the people who probably don’t like us because we said the wrong thing.So let me answer the confidence question for you once and for all:Confidence is not something people are born with.And it’s not something that will come when you change your body, or your job, or your location, or your bank account. I’ve tried it all.Confidence is created through three things, and three things only.Allowing discomfort, taking action (towards discomfort), and having your own back.And when we work together, I’ll teach you my proven method to become confident that works for everyone.
