My life and career have revolved around transformation.At 23 I was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition and given a poor prognosis: a sedentary and painful life. The untenable notion of life on my couch propelled me to seek my own answers. I intuitively knew that I felt better when I was stronger. 5 years later I'd evolved from joint dislocations to running 5ks and made the transition out of the entertainment industry and into fitness.I spent 8 years with Equinox focusing on others with catastrophic injuries or chronic illness. In 2018 my personal life again pushed me to transformation. Ending my 15 year relationship pushed me to ask many big questions - the search lead me to Positive Psychology, which lead me to some big answers.The Science of Wellbeing transformed how I went about my own life. Growing up in poverty, family trauma, and chronic illness all led me to focus on resolving "the negative". On how to survive. Now, I was thinking about how to add in the things that make life worth living. How to THRIVE.Along the way I found remarkable insight into the common struggles my clients encountered on their journey to be healthy and well.
