Sarah's key responsibilities were to identify strategic direction of the association, assess and review the ongoing viability, overall management of all aspects of business, network and liaison with a range of service providers and government departments, management of education and information provided, management of 24 hour Helpline service, research and plan and prepare submissions, budget reports.

Southdown is a specialist non-profit housing association, which provides housing support to people with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. The housing and support provided enabled people with complex needs to maintain their independence within the community. Sarah's main achievements were, set up and manage a range of disability services, which included respite, home care, residential, day care and carer services. Designed and delivered a wide range of training programs, Management and training of the senior executive team in business and marketing planning, management of the associations IT requirement, Public relations of and promotion of conferences, external training and annual reviews, Research funding and tender opportunities within private and voluntary sector.

Yarrow Housing is a non-profit specialist housing association. The association is based in central London and provides a range of multicultural services to people with developmental disabilities living in care in the community. As a Senior Manager of the Management Team, Sarah was responsible for the housing management services, the set up and management of community living services, ensured that services met legislation requirements, liaised with a wide range of staff, tenants, families, volunteers and external agencies. Set up management of a Tenancy Forum, which ensured that the rights of tenants were maintained.

Sarah worked within a new resettlement project, which was funded by the government to re-house people with developmental disabilities who were living in a long stay Institute. As a manager she was responsible for the delivery of assessment of the tenants and case management to see them through the transition into community life.
