About Kyle Thorne
The one thing I am most passionate about is the game of basketball. My father is the person who initially shared this passion with me. We spent countless hours in the driveway working on my craft. By doing this, we built a strong bong as a father and son. Not only did he push me to be better in basketball, but he pushed me to be better in life. My father instilled a moral compass in me by teaching my life lessons through basketball. These life lessons serve as the foundation of who I am today. I was fortunate enough to be able to play basketball at the college level at LSU of Alexandria where we had much success. I joined the generals in their inaugural season. After having an incredible first year, we lead the Red River Conference and won the conference tournament. During my time at LSU of Alexandria, we had an outstanding record of 52-8 with no losses on our home court. We were led by head coach Larry Cordaro who demanded that we be the best we could be every single day.Currently, I am an assistant coach at LSU of Alexandria under head coach Larry Cordaro. This is my first year on staff, and I am eager to learn the coaching side of the sport I love. I have a great work ethic which was instilled by my father. I use this work ethic to be the best version of my self as well as to help our players become the best version of themselves. I am very grateful for this opportunity at LSU of Alexandria and the ability to do what I love for a living.
