Positive Coaching Alliance is a non-profit that believes sports done right changes lives. Unfortunately, youth sports in America today are often not done right. Many kids do not have a coach that is trained, many schools and sports programs don’t promote a positive youth sports culture among their coaches, parents, administrators, and student athletes, and the playing field is not level - youth living in low-income communities are only half as likely to participate in sports.That is why PCA is making sports positive, equitable & accessible to all young people by training, recruiting, and supporting coaches with tools and resources to teach life skills, increasing access to youth sports by forging alliances with under-resourced communities, and partnering with school districts, youth sports organizations, and community-based organizations.In this role, I utilize my background and knowledge of sports to work towards a greater cause. I'm part of a team of experienced staff responsible for prospecting, qualifying, developing, and closing partnership opportunities in the Pacific Northwest. I help communicate the value of PCA programs for youth sports organizations and schools to foster a positive, equitable, and accessible youth sports experience across the Pacific Northwest

Erica Quam is a leadership coach at Find Your Peak Sports and founder of The Coaching Experience. She teaches people how to step into their true potential as leaders. Erica's unique approach to coaching coaches, combined with the simple and clear systems she teaches, propel coaches forward to a whole new level of success.In addition to working with coaches at 3-day coaching summits, she has crafted online training programs, and led virtual coaching workshops for coaches to get a higher level of support to overcome obstacles and keep their momentum going all season long.Erica began her entrepreneurial path in 2011 when she transitioned into this new role from a 15-year career within collegiate athletics. She worked with Olympic medalists, NCAA All-Americans, and guided close to 200 young men and women along their collegiate athletic careers - in the sport of swimming.The Coaching Experience has been Erica's way to elevate the coaching profession and support the community of coaches who are making a difference - changing the lives of young men and women through sports.Erica provides a fresh new perspective for coaches to consider and breakthrough ideas to develop their teams to her 400 subscribers (across athletics and beyond) via her monthly eZine, Who Coaches You?In addition to coaching coaches, Erica is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and has taught weekly Iyengar yoga classes at Yoga Northwest and the Prime Sports Institute. She instructed backpacking courses for the National Outdoor Leadership School (N.O.L.S.) in the North Cascades and Olympic Mountains. She and her wife Kerry Gustafson live in Bellingham, Washington. They get out and play - in the pacific northwest - every chance they get!
