Professional stops in order; Southeastern Oklahoma State University, San Diego State University, Iowa State University, Murray State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee Tech University, University of Tennessee, Southern Methodist University, started a football team from scratch with Larry Coker at University of Texas at San Antonio, Lamar University.I played college football for Jimmy Johnson at Oklahoma State, worked twice with NFL coach Mike Smith, worked for two National Championship coaches; Phillip Fulmer and Larry Coker and College Football Hall of Fame coach Boots Donnelly. Have served on committees for the American Football Coaches Association, volunteer for Special Olympics, American Cancer Society (which Iam a Cancer Survivor).Beginning a career change in Commercial and Residential Real Estate in Durango, Co. Hobbies; snow skiing, working out and a very avid book reader. After a career in coaching, I decided to come and live in one of the most spectacular places in the U.S. My prior experience in Real Estate has been that of a customer with extensive moves experiencing the good, bad and indifferent. With that said, as a Real Estate Professional, I will put myself in my customers shoes. As a homeowner, I have owned 10 homes in eight cities and sold everyone of them for a profit.As a coach, I always felt like that the important ingredient for success is that you must have a philosophy. That philosophy was to teach and train accountability, character, discipline, effort and integrity. This is what I have done to teach people how to win games and get their diplomas. Coached Defensive Line for former Texas Longhorn and NFL veteran Ray Woodard. Trey Haverty, formerly of TCU and Texas Tech, was our Defensive coordinator. Even though my tenure here was only for a very short stint, my experience was amazing because I was around great football men with a vast amount of experience and success.

Was a original hire for Starting the UTSA program from scratch with former Miami Hurricane National Champion, Larry Coker. Started with 4 coaches, one office, 25 Scholarships that played non division to FBS 85 Scholarships, and FBS Bowl Eligible by the third season (with no seniors).Personally coached three defensive lineman to NFL contracts. Recruited David Morgan, Tight End, Minnesota Vikings. This was an amazing experience because we got those kids to come to UTSA without any history and facilities. Found a Recruited Marcus Davenport, First Round Draft choice in the 2018 NFL Draft !

Worked for Phil Bennet, one of the most respected Defensive Coordinator's in the Game. Coached Defensive Line. Inherited a program that was on probation. Recruiting coordinator, was named Rivals(Jeremy Crabtree) as a Top Ten recruiter, as well as, as Top Ten by Tom Lemming of CBS Sports.Coached Justin Rogers (Cowboys, Chiefs). Recruited NFL veterans Bryan McCann and Cole Beasley. The recruiting efforts of our staff included current NFL greats; Kelvin Beachum and Emmanuel Sanders. Also, in 2006 we received the AFCA Academic Achievement Award, presented by the Memphis Touchdown Club, for 100 percent Graduation Rate.My late Father always told me" to leave the job better than you found it". I am very proud to say that we did that during our tenure at SMU.

Defensive Back Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator
Coached Defensive Backs for Defensive Coordinator Mike Smith, who went on to become the Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Mike is currently the Defensive Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We had two top 10 nationally ranked defenses. I learned so much from Smith. He was never a mover, shaker or perennial job seeker. He is a very brilliant coach, but he always worked for the task at hand.He was never a perennial job seeker, he always worked his job from day to day. Then he had a defining moment, when he was the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, his defense intercepted Peyton Manning five times in one game. it was Epic to watch him from a Division II coach to one of the most respected coaches in the NFL !
