I am a journalist turned credentialer!After graduating from The University of Arizona Global Campus with a Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication, I realized writing was something I enjoyed doing for myself and not for payment. Even though it was not something I wanted to make into a career, there were aspects of journalism that I loved. I loved having to constantly learn new things, I loved having to dig for information, and I loved being in a fast-paced environment. So how can I find something which fulfills these loves but does not deplete my creative mind? Well, you become a credentialer! Surprisingly, there are a lot of similarities between a journalist and credentialer.Both jobs require: ~Interpersonal skills~Attention to detail~Ability to Multitask~Organizational skills~Ability to meet fast deadlines~Research skills~Ability to learn new skills quickly~Creative problem solving~LOTS of communicationToday, I am loving my career! I can have a fulfilling job and go home to write whatever my heart desires. So do not listen to the rest of the world, you can certainly have your cake and eat it too!
