Lead Logistics Management Specialist
CurrentServe as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) overseeing 30 Integrated Product Team (IPT) managers providing essential training, coaching, counsel, and advice. Plan, lead, and organize logistics management activities for the organization meeting goals and objectives. Review policy, procedures, and regulations to confirm operations comply with organizational requirements, and as necessary, request revision or waiver to properly and effectively meet customer necessities. Complete On The Job Training (OJT) for new logistics managers meeting individualized requirements. Identify and recommend existing metrics and analysis to program managers and their team or provide the information and resources to complete workload inquiries. Participate in, and plan multiple Logistic Management projects for organizational continuous process improvement (CPI) using Art of the Possible (AoP) tools. Research and follow up on issues, or questions that have no immediate resolution. Represent the organization and installation presenting business opportunities to the public during interagency industry days. Encourage and assist organization program manager’s communication skills to maintain Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). Provide resolution to difficult questions and problems by researching applicable regulations and communication with associated subject matter experts. Maintain and strengthen working relationships with multiple installation offices including contracting, system program office, field liaisons, and depot maintenance. Regularly meet with key customers and support staff to determine satisfaction, and explore areas available for improvement. Maintain over 90% training completion rate for assigned employees well above the organization's goal.
