Finance Officer
CurrentAs Finance Officer, the role involves providing financial, accounting and administrative support directly to the CEO and CFO, as well as other colleagues and stakeholders of the business. Core responsibilities include: development and analysis of budgets, accounting and financial reporting, vendor relationship management, operations/manufacturing scale-up, review of expenditure trends, purchasing, investments and cash management, internal auditing, and HR administration.Additional Responsibilities/Achievements:- Collaborated closely with Tiba's entire team, including their head scientist, to purchase R&D consumables, equipment and other facility/office supplies.- Development and analysis of company budgets including budgeted Income Statement and Cash-flows, in addition to creating and presenting project budgets for Grants and Collaborations.- Preparation and analysis of company financial statements, including monthly financial reviews with the CEO and CFO.- Acted as Purchasing Manager to monitor purchases, inventory, spending and vendor relationships.- Launched and managed a laboratory purchasing software program, Quartzy.- Acted as HR Manager, dealing with all matters related to Human Resources at Tiba, including but not limited to: payroll processing, recruiting, new hire on-boarding, workers compensation insurance, payroll tax reporting, health and retirement benefits.- Researched and analyzed Third-Party Payroll Service Providers, and successfully transitioned the company from ADP to Gusto, saving valuable time and money, as well as streamlining the above mentioned HR matters.- Restructured health and retirement benefit offerings to Tiba employees, providing employees with better options while still strategically reducing Employer HR costs as a percentage of expenses.- Facility/Equipment Maintenance
