Therapeutic Court Coordinator
Current• Spearheaded the creation of a Therapeutic Court program within the Cheney Municipal Court. These programs include a Community Court and an Adult Treatment Court program designed around individual participant needs. • Directed a two-member team to design new programs and policies to better serve the community by providing diversionary court tracks as an alternative to jail to increase rehabilitation and reintegration of defendants. • Leveraged existing, and developed new partnerships with community organizations to better meet the needs of Community Court participants using evidence-based treatment. • Orchestrated court grant applications for private, state, and federal funding, including researching grants, writing submissions, and editing and submitting final applications. Received more than $300,000 in grant funding from multiple sources in FY24. • Oversaw annual Administrative Office of the Courts Therapeutic grant, including submitting quarterly reports and financials and ensuring 100% grant compliance. • Managed $300,000+ program budget with an annual surplus. • Supervised 15+ Defendants working through the Community Court program.• Worked closely with the Prosecutor's Office, Public Defenders, and Pre-Trial Services/Probation to identify candidates for diversionary tracks.• Wrote new therapeutic court Policy and Procedure Manuels and Participant Handbooks for both programs, drafted Stipulated Order of Continuance and Post Conviction Orders for participants, and updated other court forms as needed. • Served on the Court Security Committee to update courthouse security protocols. Wrote and received a $12,000 grant to upgrade security systems.
