This role has provided me a great opportunity to expand my technical skills delving into automation architectural concepts, server maintenance/schedule efficiency, and ongoing operational support experience. Aside from developing new RPA processes, I have helped modernize customized REFramework designs/templates, completed considerable tech-debt/enhancements to meet ongoing business needs, and aided in an internal review of technology efficiency and cost-effectiveness. I perform ongoing code reviews for peers as well as create/maintain technical documentation.In addition to UiPath (VB), I have had the pleasure of expanding my knowledge in SQL, XML/XSLT, and have begun learning the basics in C# software engineering practices.

Following my undergrad and continued internship at L.L. Bean, I was given the great opportunity to stay with the company and continue expanding RPA throughout the finance department! As I continued developing and monitoring automations, my tasks expanded as I began mentoring peers and teaching coworkers how to become citizen developers. As the RPA SME, I aided with any questions or errors that may come their way and create guidebooks to ease the learning process. Aside from expanding automation to various finance departments, I was a member of the company's COE helping guide a scalable automation model to begin expansion across other departments and functions.

This was a great start to something more!I began this internship at L.L. Bean where RPA was a relatively new concept to the company. Being the only person in the company with RPA experience, I was tasked to kickstart L.L. Bean's automation journey by leading the company's UiPath pilot program. Here, I met with project stakeholders, generated PPDs, and developed automations for the tax department. In as little as 4 months, L.L. Bean was loving RPA with multiple automations in production and a realized dollar value of $1.2 Million via tax returns that would not have been recouped without the aid of automation.

Starting a Center of Excellence is no easy task on a college campus. With an all-hands-effort, a small team brought a simple idea to life for fellow bison to be involved in for years to come. At Nichols College, I was involved in the rise of RPA on campus from the early stages and am proud to be a founding member of this great organization. As an intelligent process analyst, I leveraged NICE Automation Technology to optimize internal office procedures within Nichols College. With a focus to expand the Center of Intelligent Automation on campus, I was involved in multiple projects which included both process analysis and creation. I lead development for a criminal justice partnership analyzing Twitter content with sediment analysis, was involved in creating a call-out attended automation for prospective students, and even learned a little about virtual reality and website design.

As a Floating Teller for Webster First Federal Credit Union, I worked directly with credit union members at various locations based on demand. I held Member focus in high regard to ensure a pleasant and accurate experience with each interaction I had. Learning how to deal with sensitive information and deploy organizational skills allowed me to flourish and build some great relationships with the Union's members.

This was my first interaction in the corporate world being a developer on a team of three. A partnership with Bright Horizons brought new light to my automation journey as I experienced what it would be like to work in this field.Our team was tasked to create an automation using UiPath Studio to tackle an extensive HR audit. Meeting with client stakeholders each week, we ventured through process analysis and improvement to deliver a detailed PDD, a user manual, and a finished automation that took a 40-hour manual process and transformed it into a 7-Minute coffee break.

This was my first introduction to the world of Robotic Process Automation. Here, I actively trained and researched RPA using UiPath Studio software, building my fundamentals and learning what the true limitations of RPA are. I completed the UiPath Step-into-RPA certificate and designed multiple automation use cases including price comparison, data transposition, and data scraping activities. As a final project, I designed and established an independent case focusing on financial portfolio management (Portfolio performance, Bond tracking, stock tracking/technical analysis, and live trading using a paper brokerage account). This was a true test of limits incorporating dynamic data in a constant loop to guide a bot to buy or sell a certain stock. Of course, the automation could only base decisions on mathematical analysis, but hey, it still made 20% profit in the few weeks I ran it!
