My role encompassed the spheres of Quality, Saftey, Security, Training, Building Maintenance, and Sanitation in a 1.5 million square foot food-grade warehouse. During my tenure, I completely rewrote the associate training program, updated and maintained all necessary regulatory compliance documentation, and led the site in a reduction of its OSHA recordable rate by 50% in the span of a year by raising awareness of safety, implementing an employee-led safety team, an executive safety council, and emergency response team. I monitored quality issues with product we shipped and received and executed our CAPA program to control these in accordance with our customer's guidelines. I also maintained and updated our cGMPs on a regular basis and ensured site adherance.

I am currently one of only 3 site super users and have worked diligently with the Quality Manager in order to develop an employee training program that will closely follow our established standard work.

I managed the inbound and outbound flow of the DHL Supply Chain facility located in Social Circle, Georgia, while motivating associates to be their very best, to achieve more, and to reduce waste inherent in the process. I analyzed all LMS data prior to submission for review, created new user IDs, managed user accounts, sent weekly LMS reports to all supervisors and internal management, approved requested "down time" or non-productive time that associates requested to handle issues outside the scope of tracked labor, corrected system scheduling issues, and other issues that arose, as well as performed minor repairs on RF equipment.I reviewed then current processes and SOPs with the Quality Manager and assisted in their revision, oversaw the training of new associates as they came onto my shift, and ensured that all other associates were engaged and operating to keep the work flowing as efficiently as possible.During my time in this role, the site's efficiency rating went from an average of 45% operational efficiency, to 95% OE.

I was responsible for scheduling shift employees on work tasks and altering their assignments to make sure they all stayed busy and engaged. I drove employees' performance to ensure that daily production demands were met while monitoring equipment for needed maintenance, set-up, or tooling work. I approved employee's daily timesheets on the Paychex attendance system, and rectified any time discrepancies accordingly. Other duties included maintaining daily running log reports through excel to track production and performance, handling employee development and counseling, processing and serving discipline reports when necessary, employee evaluations, interviewing potential candidates for hire. I participated in and led kaizen events to generate ideas to improve on current processes, and implement those processes. I followed up on these changes, monitored sustainability, and documented short and long-term effects to ensure kaizen goals were met. I utilized such tools as Value Stream Mapping, ROI work-ups, Lean methodology, 5s implementation, and six sigma methodology. I took part in and led several kaizen events that focused on implementing one-piece flow in the facility that reduced takt time by as much as 50% in some of our higher volume work cells.

I led the continuous improvement program at John Deere Regional Distribution Center and was responsible for managing the projects suggested by the floor associates, and bringing them to the table for approval by the steering committee. Prior to approval, it was my responsibility to further refine the projects that were suggested, and use tools such as Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC methodology, 5 Why and/or Root Cause Analysis, and Return on Investment models to ensure that each of them improved on one of our key metrics of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery, and added value to our operation in a meaningful way, whether that be an improvement to key metrics, or an improvement in overall employee morale. Once initiated, I oversaw the project teams, made sure the projects adhered to a strict budget, and ensured that all project teams had loose daily goals, and firm weekly goals to hit each day of operation based on the intricacy of the project undertaken.After implementation, I ensured that all projects met budget guidelines, wrote explanation reports if the did not, ensured that processes were put in place to maintain the change, measured the changes made to ensure they met or exceeded ROI goals, Key metric goals, or employee morale goals.
