Continuous Improvement Coordinator
Mcdonough, Georgia
I led the continuous improvement program at John Deere Regional Distribution Center and was responsible for managing the projects suggested by the floor associates, and bringing them to the table for approval by the steering committee. Prior to approval, it was my responsibility to further refine the projects that were suggested, and use tools such as Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC methodology, 5 Why and/or Root Cause Analysis, and Return on Investment models to ensure that each of them improved on one of our key metrics of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery, and added value to our operation in a meaningful way, whether that be an improvement to key metrics, or an improvement in overall employee morale. Once initiated, I oversaw the project teams, made sure the projects adhered to a strict budget, and ensured that all project teams had loose daily goals, and firm weekly goals to hit each day of operation based on the intricacy of the project undertaken. After implementation, I ensured that all projects met budget guidelines, wrote explanation reports if the did not, ensured that processes were put in place to maintain the change, measured the changes made to ensure they met or exceeded ROI goals, Key metric goals, or employee morale goals.
