My calling has always been in public service--Contributing to keeping everyone and our homeland safe.I have been fortunate enough to serve in many roles within the military, private sector and now with Customs and Border Protection. It has given me the pleasure of working with such talented professionals from all walks of life. These experiences have contributed to my success, with being an effective communicator. As well as having the ability to establish rapport with individuals at all levels. In the Army, I was selected over my peers to be the organizations Equal Opportunity Representative Leader due to my ability to engage and build rapport with all levels of team members and leaders. It is a position that I hold highly because of its importance.I am passionate about Veteran Mentorship and Mental Health advocacy. Understanding the firsthand difficulties of military transition, I appreciate how important it is to help each other out and provide support as needed. We are a unique community, and it is so important for us to stick together. Mental Health has been near to my heart for some time now. Watching so many veterans deal with mental health issues, to include myself, has driven me to be a fierce advocate. Veteran suicide is really important to me because of how close it has hit home, I have lost numerous friends who have committed suicide.
