As a sales engineer I helped customers design solutions around flash based storage for large database, virtualization (server and desktop), and web farm architectures. Educate customers on the architectural differences between flash systems utilizing form factor MLC drives versus SLC flash chips with a dedicated high-speed bridge. Performed proof-of-concepts and evaluated new technology to showcase RamSan capabilities.My other hat was an IT manager brought on-board to help modernize the TMS IT infrastructure. Other projects include the migration from workstation grade storage (12 TB) to enterprise grade storage (>100TB) that utilizes an enterprise backup environment using a multi-silo table library.

Duties include supporting Sun enterprise servers with over 50 combined Solaris virtual zones, support of all NAS and SAN storage solutions, directory services for both Unix and Windows, support of all Windows servers, and support for all Mac and Windows workstations. Completed projects include the development of a preservation network using grid storage across all Texas Digital Library (TDL) data centers located at the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, and Texas Tech University.
