The success of the project came as a result of the meticulous validation and cross-team preparation.- Enhanced current team process with a custom written project tracking system.- Developed a sustainable DR process for Wal-Mart India.- Project and storage engineer lead for a DR analysis that required an application decomposition of the 5 most critical applications (hundreds of servers and dependencies).- Realized the storage elements of Wal-Marts’ custom VSI (Virtual Server infrastructure – “Cloud”), automating the virtual builds of Windows and Linux servers on a NetApp infrastructure – Pre-defined scalability modules of compute for performance and capacity.- Configure and support approximately 5 PB+ of SAN storage in EMC, HDS and Netapp storage environments for over 4,000 servers, including high availability clusters for AIX, HP-UX, ESX, and Windows 2003/2008- Lead build engineer for implementing a 3rd data center solution for disaster recovery (DR) – Responsible for storage and SAN aspects of project scope, timeline, purchasing, implementation, testing, documentation/run books, training and turnover to a storage operations team.
