Specializing in Laboratory and Healthcare design. Responsible for preliminary design through Construction Documents, Construction Administration, and Closeout of projects. Experienced in the design and construction of over one hundred laboratories including research, teaching, clinical and pharmaceutical labs.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) St. Louis is the voice of the architectural profession, dedicated to serving its members, advancing their value, and improving the quality of the built environment. AIA St. Louis provides services and fellowship to the architectural profession and eastern Missouri.

Young Architects Forum Saint Louis (YAFSTL) is part of AIA St. Louis and is committed to the continual education and community awareness of emerging professionals (those pursuing licensure) and young architects (ten years after licensure, regardless of age).YAFSTL bridges the gap between formal education and professional life, focusing on mentorship, leadership, and fellowship.YAFSTL organizes events like lectures on issues important to emerging professionals and young architects, building tours, happy hours, ARE study sessions, community service opportunities, and softball.

Experience in various building types including: Retail, Healthcare, Banks, Research Labs, and Hospitality. Hand draft schematic space plans, elevations, etc. and work closely with clients to provide a design that solves both design problems and code issues to deliver the client a cohesive solution that meets their needs, budget, and is aesthetically pleasing. Create and submit presentation drawings for city approval. Work with other disciplines to create full construction drawing sets for bidding and permitting purposes. Provide Construction Administration services after construction of a project begins.

Converse with residential and commercial clients to find out their needs or expectations for the project. Survey the site for special considerations to be aware of during design and bidding. Design a concept that will meet the customer’s needs at an affordable price and add to the value of their property. Create bid and contract documents to present to the client for their review. After contract is accepted create construction drawings for permitting. Order and schedule delivery times for materials and equipment.

Work in cooperation with company engineers to update file drawings to reflect current assembly line configurations. File reports for confidential chemicals for plant use. Trouble-shoot large format plotters and printers. Walk factory floor to verify location of utility runs. Meet varying deadlines for tasks. Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks around the plant.
