IT Manager for Classroom Technology and University Event Support

I provide ad-hoc technology support and services to home users and (very) small businesses• Troubleshoot personal and small business software & operating systems• Train and educate in web utilization, computer use, file management, computer backup,image correction and more• Tutor in Excel, Word, and Outlook• Plan, upgrade, and transition computer systems, peripherals and network equipment• Consult on marketing strategies and tools utilizing Facebook, web presence, Instagram,and service review sites (Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.)• Provide customized web services based on specific client needs including websitedesign, web development, email management, and cloud storage

Primary outward facing position on the IT team, responsible for managing customer services, communication, training and the promotion of technologies to the UAS community. Coordinate effectively with the Provost, deans, faculty leadership, and TLTR to ensure that UAS technologies support our mission, are aligned with national best-practices, and serve our community well. Confers with and trains users or reviews requests for services or other information to identify requirements for information services. Coordinate IT & A/V support requests for events and other campus activities. Serve as a single point of contact for internal and external groups and individuals. Where appropriate, draft agreements for services including any costs. Oversee Media, Helpdesk, Classroom Support functions, managing day-to-day service operations and communications with the UAS community. Draft service-level agreements. Identify evaluation metrics, evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Supervises staff engaged in providing customer service, consulting, and support.

Byte Networking, LLC is a Managed Service Provider for Information Technology Services to small and medium business clients in healthcare, marketing, non-profit, legal, hospitality, construction, engineering, and mining. * Desktop Support and Systems/Network Administration of 200+ user machines, 25+ servers, networking equipment, mobile devices, and associated peripherals (spread across 23 clients in 8 cities of 3 states)* Act as primary customer interface to provide day-to-day and long-range operational needs of clients including software troubleshooting, infrastructure reporting, capacity planning, project management, coordination, purchasing, asset tracking, and hardware maintenance* Provide training and user documentation via various mediums including in-person, we conferencing, print, email and wiki* Assist in design, development, testing, and smooth deployment fo hardware, software, industry web applications, and consumer oriented websites* Small team of 3 full-time staff and contractors
