The Nugget Best in the West Rib Cook-Off is a fast paced environment where restaurant owners from all over the United States come together to compete for the prize of the "Best Ribs in the West". While working through the restaurant by the name of Uncle Bub's for the past two years I have been exposed to a competitive working environment where promotion is key. In order to produce for Uncle Bub's I focused on the following areas:-Promotion: Walking around the event engaging in conversations with spectators to try our ribs and that they truly were the "Best in the West" -Positivity: While working on your feet for 12+ hours a day I brought a positive attitude to our booth every day which led to others behaving in a excited and energized manner-Versatility: While working in the booth I made sure that I understood how to do every possible job so that if needed I could step in to perform any job. This included seasoning the ribs, working the grill, preparing dinners, working the cash register, and setting up and tearing down of the booth.In the past two years since I have worked there Uncle Bub's has placed in the top 5 out of 30 contestants and has won the award of "Best Sauce" in 2012. This is an exciting and fun learning experience that I enjoy taking part in every summer.

I have learned how to assist these customers by fulfilling their requests or showing them to someone who would have more knowledge in the subject to ensure that their needs have been met.
