I'm a multi-skilled IT Service Management professional with over 20 years of experience. I have developed a unique skill set through roles in Service Delivery Management, Service Level Management and Contract Management. Each of these roles benefits greatly from experience in the others - I can approach commercial issues with contextual understanding of the subject matter, and delivery issues with an understanding of the parties true obligations to one another.With IBM and NEC I've managed delivery for large accounts across industries such as travel, banking, FMCG, pharmaceutical and government. Working with multiple customers and gaining insight into their various industries is a benefit many people don't experience and it's one of my favourite aspects of service management.AI tools are now available that can analyse a proposed contract and recommend alterations to meet an organisation's risk appetite, corporate standards, or to flag poor practices such as ambiguities or contradictions. Improved ICT templates are gaining traction, such as MICTA/ICTA. These changes benefit all contract managers but understanding the liabilities, complexities and challenges of a specific technical solution still requires human smarts. Today a contract manager needs to comprehend a degree of detail in the contract's technical scope, not simply the commercial terms governing the agreement.Although I'm a big fan of AI and look forward to it making our lives easier in many ways, potential employers need to know that candidates can communicate in a compelling manner without leaning on an AI for assistance. Therefore, I don't use AI to modify or augment my profile, CV, or applications.(Though my profile background picture was made with Automatic1111, using ProtovisionXL checkpoint which is yet another hobby)
