Current• Supervise a team comprised of four safety professionals.• Organized the team to provide felt leadership onboard vessels and in the field. Within the first year our team saw a + 140% increase in presence both onboard and in the field. • Oversaw prompt and effective care for work-related injuries/illnesses, coordinating medical attention, documenting incidents, monitoring recovery, and implementing preventive measures for a safer workplace.• Analyzed safety KPI trends, enabling fact-based decision-making and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety protocols and practices.• Optimize safety tools to meet workers' needs, ensuring they are best-in-class and effectively support workplace safety initiatives.• Lead post-incident investigations to understand root causes, applying principles of human performance to drive learning and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, respond with empathy and care to affected individuals, providing support and guidance throughout the recovery process.• Oversee corporate drug and alcohol program, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment.• Participate in the internal audit team to prepare for and ensure compliance with USCG requirements, third-party organization standards, and customer TMSA (Tanker Management and Self-Assessment) best practices.• Contribute to our internal vetting team, ensuring vendors' adherence to Subchapter M, TMSA standards, and internal organizational protocols, fostering compliance and collaborative partnerships.• Collaborate with the Quality Decision Making Team to optimize safety systems, enhancing data organization and accuracy for improved decision-making.
