The Ion Smart Outlet -- the smartest way to provide automation of any space and stop energy loss in your home or buildings that works from anywhere in the world with WiFi -- without the need for a separate hub!Weifield and I recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to hopefully raise funds for a project that we have had in the works for some time now. The project is to develop and market an outlet device that connects to any WiFi network to provide control and power monitoring for connected plug loads in a way that makes it viable for both home and business use. This product was initially something that I developed for use in my own home. However, it seemed to be such a good fit for our current industry that Weifield has backed bringing the project to a point where it can be massed produced and sold to the public. As Chief Electrical Estimator for Weifield Group Contracting I am responsible for supervising and managing the estimating department, reviewing estimates for accuracy, preparing electrical quotes and proposals, and implementing measures to increase the company’s success and productivity. I am also responsible for accurate and competitive estimates and services for design-build and design-assist projects. These responsibilities include tasks such as; research/analysis and document the estimating process, determining areas of improvement and developing appropriate solutions, researching potential tools to enhance business processes, training for the department, strong industry awareness, and development of external relationships to better the company’s community standing.
