I am a mission-oriented, technically-inclined professional with an array of experience in project management, IT support/operations, higher education, and biology. My work has spanned the non-profit realm: local 501c3, state government (college and university), federal government (DoD), and international NGO (WHO). I have successfully managed a multi-million-dollar software project, administered hundreds of thousands of dollars in electronic equipment, protected sensitive data in compliance with regulations (HIPAA, FERPA, PA1974), and collaborated with cross-functional and international teams. I am known for my problem-solving ability and reliability. My science experience includes teaching college biology both in-person and virtually where I have taught students about topics ranging from STIs to evolution. I have performed extensive field work (birds, bats, plants), including in remote locations at night. Finally, I have trained and supervised others, both in the field and in the laboratory. These experiences have not only broaded my perspective, but my science background generally informs how I approach (and solve) problems.I strive to bring professional, respectful, and effective communication to all of my work.I firmly believe that strong communication skills are critical, whether we are talking about communicating with coworkers, executives, stakeholders, or customers.
