Business Services: Front/Emergency Registration, Financial Counseling, Insurance Verification, QA Specialist, Scheduling •Front/Emergency Room Registration- Fast-paced customer and patient service, while collecting information, quoting a patient’s insurance benefits, collecting co-pays or estimated portions for medical services, all while showing the compassionate side of business and welcoming the patient to the facility. •Financial Counseling- Negotiate modifications and/or payment options for patients with current charges, previous accounts’ costs, or promissory notes, and assist with possible charity applications or loans through a third party lender. Communicating with other medical facilities and professionals about patients’ medical necessity and financial capabilities.•Insurance Verification- Contact insurance companies to verify patients’ current eligibility and benefits for the facilities’ costs of specific visits and procedures, equipment, medications and personnel. This also includes obtaining authorizations, notifications and pre-certification information for the patients visit(s) from insurance companies.•QA Specialist- Monitor the work of other registration personnel to make sure all information is correct and updated, so that the facility gets a return on its claims. This information is then graded and reported it back to the department coordinator. •Scheduling- Receive calls from other medical facilities for scheduled procedures, schedule those procedures appropriately, then perform insurance verification duties as needed thereafter.
