Iprepare for civil engineering projects by leading surveys and compiling information aboutproposed project sites. I visit sites to take measurements and determine whether they areappropriate for proposed projects, gathering information related to elevation and currentutilization. For projects related to roadways, civil technicians also monitor traffic levels andsurrounding road conditions. Preparing blueprints and specification sheets for entire projects orcomponents. This can include developing dimensional drawings for project elements usingcomputer-aided drafting programs or preparing material specification documents forcontractors.

Placesorders, receives and distributes materials to specified sections for future work.
