By mentoring companies and helping them find the technical, financial, and marketing assistance they need, I am promoting advanced micro- and nanotechnology in the province.Before that I was the Director of Sales, Marketing and Resource Development at the Banff Y Mountain Lodge. As a social enterprise business for the YWCA, this job involved fundraising and promotion of a hostel in a national park.I am the past Director of Sales and Marketing at Great Big Solutions a mobile software and service company for health science educators. Prior to that, I was Director of Predictive Text at Zi Corporation, where I worked from 2001 until 2009. I led the team responsible for Zi predictive text products, overseeing development and managing the Zi predictive text portfolio - a division that generated more than $10 million in annual revenues and customers in three continents.From 2009 to 2010, I led the re-branding study for an eating disorders recovery society, first as a consultant/volunteer and then as a board member.I was a design engineer of telecommunications at Nortel Networks for six years before completing an MBA.Specialties: I hold a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
