Reliability Engineer
Reliability Engineer in the Process Reliability R & D test group.Work closely with technology and product development groups through all phases of development to build-in reliability for new processes and devices. - Identify the failure mechanisms and reliability risks associated with new process technologies / devices.- Design test structures to assess process and device reliability. Failure mechanisms include electro-migration, gate oxide integrity, hot-carrier injection, inter-metal dielectric integrity and plasma-process induced charging.- Generate test specifications to standardize test and measurement practices within the site and across the company.- Coordinate the daily activities of the lab to ensure equipment is utilized effectively and customer schedules are met.-Reduced test backlog by over 2x by improving tester utilization and by issuing reports in a timely fashion.-Partnered with technology and product development groups throughout all development phases to build-in quality and contribute to successful process and product launches.-Improved the lab’s use of database software to manage the request backlog.-Maintained the site’s process reliability monitoring program. Communicated key metrics on a monthly basis to the site and investigated statistical shifts in performance trends/metrics.-Expertise in the use of statistical analysis tools to analyze data and report those results to internal customers.
