I am a first year Biomedical Enginering student on the Pre-Med track at the University of Colorado Boulder. I have several interests in my desired field of study including disease research and prevention, biotechnology, biomechanics, genetic research, and research of molecular, cellular, and developmental biological systems.Ultimately, my career goal is to pursue a PhD in Clinical Research, specifically focusing on diseases that affect the brain such as dementia and Parkinson’s. I want to be responsible for creating cures that allow the affected population to maintain their consciousness, memories, and ability to love life, as I believe those are the main attributes that make us human. I am very capable to work in a collaborative environment and use my exceptional work ethic to better those around me. I believe my passion for biology, medicine, and engineering along with my experience in hard-working employment positions will allow me to not only achieve but work beyond these goals.
