Being a format student-athlete allowed me to pursue two dreams of mine at once. Becoming a professional baseball player while earning a degree. Unfortunately, only one of those dreams can come true. After the harsh realization, I wouldn't stand a chance against a 97 MPH fastball I decided to focus on my education which brought me to Ohio University. Data Analytics has not always been a passion of mine. I began college studying to become a physical therapist. After two semesters of chemistry and biology, I knew I needed to try something else. Stats for players and teams are something I find interesting and come easily to me. Once I took my first course for data analytics I was hooked. The ability to take a vast amount of data and convert it into consumer-friendly visuals is what I enjoy the most. With sports today becoming more and more of an analytics game, I am very excited to become a part of it.Listed below are the courses I have taken or currently enrolled in relating to Sports Management and Data Analytics;-Sports History-Intro to Sports Management-Event and Facilities Management-Senior Capstone (Consulting Project)-QBA 1720 (Mainly dealing with excel)-QBA 2720 (Mainly dealing with excel)-MIS 2200-MIS 2800I am looking to expand my skills regarding data analytics in sports.
