Did you know that of all the reasons why startups fail, 66% are related to accounting and financial issues.My education within Kelley School of Business and work experience have provided me with a great start for a career path in accounting and data that I am passionately pursuing. With my experience, I hope to help future individuals and businesses grow to new heights. I'm excited to push towards this goal as I have recently accepted an Audit Internship at Ernst & Young!This past summer I worked as an Audit Intern at Plante Moran. Here I worked with several healthcare, manufacturing, and real estate clients within the Chicagoland area. Working directly with staff, firm partners, client controllers, and client CFO's, I conducted deep financial analysis, looking at receivables, payments, cash, investments, internal controls, and other essential financial functions. On site travel was also critical to account for inventories, speak with CFOs, and tour facilities. Additionally, I have currently begun my education with Indiana's Graduate Accounting 3/2 Program. The theme of this program is "transformation" into a business professional. I am excited to get a hands-on education, analyze real businesses situations, work with fortune 500 companies such as EY and Cummins, and get as much experience and exposure as possible. I look forward to making meaningful connections with others and use financial data and analysis to create positive change for businesses, individuals, and the community as a whole.
