I managed 30+ hours of call time per week and raised over $1 million in call time for one of the top House challengers in the country. Our finance plan raised $4M over the course of the election; our call time operation exceeded Q3 and Q4 projections by a combined 6%. I organized multiple fundraisers that exceeded a total of $20k raised and provided support to finance staff for an events program that raised nearly $300k. Other responsibilities included leading data integrity efforts in NGP and Calltime AI, submitting nightly finance reports to staff, creating donor-facing content and messaging (e.g. state of the race memos), and using Excel/Google Sheets to track call time metrics and distill insights.

As an intern, I conducted research on prospective donors using the FEC database, NGP VAN software, campaign records, and other online sources to help the staff determine targets for fundraising efforts. I also canvassed, phonebanked, and attended community events to deliver the message for Kate and other local Democratic candidates working to flip the 1st district.

I was responsible for updating and maintaining ASG's internal governing documents, enforcing Robert's Rules of Order, overseeing all record-keeping efforts, and leading the Administrative Committee. I applied critical thinking skills and attention to detail whenever called upon to interpret a rule or solve a procedural problem. Effective communication skills ensured that I explained rules correctly and succinctly, enabling our members to grow as leaders and increasing their capacity to make change on campus.

I coached students from all majors and backgrounds on effective interviewing techniques, resumes and cover letters, communication skills, and professional etiquette as a student employee with the Center for Career Exploration and Success. Alongside 18 other Peer Career Coaches, I promoted career development resources by delivering presentations across campus, conducting workshops, working outreach tables, and authoring blog content. Mock interviews demand the ability to process information quickly, deliver constructive criticism., and display both customer service skills and mastery of career development topics.

As an intern for the Caucus and Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08), my responsibilities included compiling morning news clips, preparing background and talking points for the Chairman's cable news and radio appearances, summarizing the media coverage of frontline members, and drafting social media content. I practiced pitching to reporters with "newsjacking" exercises and created a mock communications plan to learn the art of earned media on the Hill.Interning with the Caucus is an experience I'll never forget. I learned firsthand how to communicate on key legislative priorities like healthcare, immigration, the Raise the Wage Act, NDAA, and Mueller hearings. I also had the opportunity to attend Caucus meetings, DPCC meetings, Press Secretaries' meetings, committee hearings, and CRS trainings, often sending recaps to supervisors. Importantly, I proved that I can contribute in an intense, fast-paced, results-oriented environment like the Caucus.

I served two terms as the leader of our Student Senate, presiding over a representative body that serves over 16,000 constituents, chairing a number of committees, and overseeing a number of important initiatives to improve student life on campus. As the chair of Elections Committee, I drafted and applied detailed regulations for eight campus-wide races, including Student Body President Elections where upwards of 4,000 votes are cast. I also served as the inaugural chair of the Steering Committee, a group that approved weekly agendas and set the overall direction of the Student Senate.Over two years, I worked with more than 100 members of ASG to increase Resident Assistant compensation, promote textbook affordability, allocate millions of dollars in student organization funding, establish a nondiscrimination statement in the ASG Bylaws, and more. This required me to interact with students, staff, faculty, and administrators alike to solve complex problems facing students at Miami.Through my position, I served on a number of university committees, including: Student Trustee Selection Committee, University Senate, Student Life Council, the Committee on Student Media Organizations, and Parking Appeals Committee. I was the first person to ever be re-elected to a second term as Speaker.

I represented nearly 1,000 constituents and focused on issues of textbook affordability, parking and transportation services, and IT services, among others. One piece of legislation that I co-authored addressed a textbook affordability provision in Governor Kasich's proposed budget that a colleague presented to the Ohio House of Representatives. My colleagues nominated me to chair an ad hoc IT Committee in Student Senate that worked with administrators to make IT assistance and information more accessible for students.I was also voted Senator of the Year for outstanding work writing legislation, contributing to committees, and communicating with fellow students and administrators.

Lean Industries is a small, international software company that specializes in providing dispute and exception handling solutions for financial institutions. As a summer intern, I developed company branding guidelines and wrote case studies, blog posts, white papers, consultation reviews, and product roadmaps to bolster its content marketing efforts. I studied the language of dispute management -- a very niche, technical space -- and learned to communicate it clearly in a B2B setting. Because of the company's smaller size, I operated with a lot of independence in completing tasks and showed my willingness to be a self-starter.

I contributed weekly content to a for-profit college sports blog, focusing my coverage on Mid-American Conference (MAC) football. I honed my written communication skills by pitching ideas to editors and tailoring each article to a specific audience: MAC football fans. From August-September, I ranked fifth in page views on a staff of roughly 25 writers.
