As the Program Assistant for the High School Programs department, I supported Lake Washington Institute of Technology's special purpose high school, Lake Washington Technical Academy (LWTA), as well as their Running Start program. I was responsible for the organization and management of High School Program's internal textbook and tool libraries which included course required textbooks, laptops, WIFI hotspots, and an expansive collection of technical/mechanical tools required for professional technical programs such as Auto Repair, Auto Body, Diesel & Heavy Machinery, Welding, and Machining. I assisted with various administrative needs as well as oversaw and managed a budget of nearly $500,000.Within 2 months of hire:-Composed new legal lending agreements for students who borrow high-value supplies/tools to be more approachable and respectful of student need.-Received 2022 President's Commendation for Excellence in Inclusion.-Managed the preparation, setup, execution, and tear down of LWTA 2022 High School Graduation Ceremony.Within 4 months of hire:-Revamped textbook library inventory and organization system.-Identified an accreditation compliance issue and pushed forward the purchase of a new fleet of student laptops to replace missing and outdated hardware.-Revamped tool library inventory and organization system.-Created, designed and launched a student activity entitled "Lake Washington Technical Academy Passport to College" where new students, with the aid of a Passport-style booklet and LWTech staff support, complete self-guided tours of LWTech's campus to discover valuable and important resources relevant to them as high school students which will help set them up for college success.Within 5 months of hire:-Member of two selection committees for LWTech.-Drafted staff manuals for textbook and tool libraries.-Supervisor of department student volunteers.-Initiated and pushed forward a new vendor partnership to streamline tool lending program.

n this role, I acted as an ambassador for public libraries whose primary goal was to educate, assist and empower library patrons from all walks of life to be successful users of library and community resources.
