Invented a high precision, high throughput cell separation technology called magnetic ratcheting and led commercialization effort through a startup company, Ferrologix Inc.• Developed micro-magnetic chips for cell manipulation and sorting using micromagnetic arrays.• Built and programmed robotic and mechatronic systems to control magnetic fields for parallel cell maneuvering.•Designed and fabricated a multi-axis robotic arm for fluorescence microscopy, enabling controlled magnetic field cycling over microfluidic chips.• Utilized CAD for design, manual fabrication in a machine shop, and programming of motor assemblies for feedback control.• Created LabVIEW software with a graphical user interface for real-time cell manipulation across magnetic substrates.• Designed and built an Arduino-controlled benchtop instrument with micromagnetic cartridge integration for automated cell sorting.• Engineered an automated system incorporating motor assemblies and a peristaltic pump for fluid handling.
