I am responsible for communication between my front of house team and the backstage (production) crew in order to ensure a musical or theatrical performance runs smoothly. Duties include briefing the front of house team on details of the shift before the event, radioing to different team members to communicate time-sensitive details, being generally available for questions or directions throughout the shift, and filing post-shift reports.

I am responsible for preparing venues for patrons in a safe and organized manner, distributing materials for various performances, and providing service to all patrons, including those with accessibility needs.

I raised a future PTSD service dog (@major.avd on Instagram) that was placed with a veteran in October 2023. My co-raiser and I worked as a team to teach obedience, manners, confidence, and socialization to our puppy. This role requires patience, determination, planning, and organization - plus, it was very fun!

As a head group leader for Terps Raising Pups, I was responsible for helping to educate prospective new members that wished to pursue raising a service dog. I ran applicant classes that allowed prospective members to learn what goes into training a service dog, and performed clerical duties and acted as a point of contact for them during their onboarding process.

In this role, I assisted in diagnosing health issues in plants by carrying out diagnostic tests such as agar plating, viral assays, ELISA assays, analyzing test results with a microscope, performing DNA extraction, performing PCR, and analyzing DNA sequencing results. Additional duties included maintaining lab cleanliness, sterility, and safety, as well as clerical and preparatory tasks such as filing reports for each sample and inventorying lab supplies.

As section leader, I was responsible for coordinating drumline members before, during, and after rehearsals and performances. In this role, I acted as an intermediary between drumline members and staff by communicating directly with band directors, as well as answering questions directly when possible. Additionally, this role included some work of a more clerical nature including sending out emails, providing time-sensitive reminders, and updating music in the shared drive.
