Construction Quality Improvement Collaborative (CQIC) is a national campaign to create a sustainable quality culture across construction in Scotland.

SFT are an infrastructure centre of expertise owned by the Scottish Government.Working with numerous public and private sector partners across our many programmes, we:- Plan future infrastructure investment- Innovate to secure new ways to fund essential infrastructure- Deliver important infrastructure programmes- Improve the management of existing properties With construction one of the highest economic multipliers of any government expenditure, our infrastructure programmes have a positive effect on Scotland's economy as they support thousands of jobs and create many more training and apprenticeship positions.A key workstream, in which Colin is heavily involved, is an initiative to achieve improvement of quality in construction. SFT are supporting the Construction Quality Improvement Collaborative (@CQICScotland) which has the aim of creating a sustainable quality culture across construction. Colin is the nominated public sector co-chair of the Working Group for the CQIC.

Territory Support Director as a part of the SFT Hub team. The Scottish Futures Trust (SFT) is an independent company, established by the Scottish Government with a responsibility for delivering value for money across public sector infrastructure investment. SFT operates at arm's length from the Government but works closely with the public sector to seek and deliver improved value for taxpayers.The Scotland-wide hub initiative, which is led by SFT, reflects a national approach to the delivery of new community infrastructure which is valued at more than £2bn over its first 10 years.It brings together community planning partners, including health boards, local authorities, police, and fire and rescue services and several other public bodies together with a private sector development partner to form a hubCo to increase joint working and deliver best value in delivering new community facilities. This service is delivered through five hubCos in the South East, North, East Central, West and South West regions of Scotland.

Initially employed to manage the company's Edinburgh Office. Was then requested by Scottish Court Service to manage the team delivering the refurbishment of the historic Parliament House, the home of the Court of Session. The project was delivered, whilst the courts continued to sit, on programme and at a final cost of £58m, which was well below the original budget of £63m. As a result of the success of the project Colin was a finalist in the APM Awards Project Professional of the Year 2014.

Franklin & Andrews merged with Mott Macdonald and formed Osprey Mott Macdonald. Based in Edinburgh I worked mainly on PFI/PPP and education projects both nationally and internationally.

PMI was taken over by Franklin & Andrews and became Osprey PMI. I was Director responsible for Project Management in Edinburgh.
