The types of projects included new or improved stations, alterations to depots, route clearances and infrastructure improvements for new rolling stock, interfacing projects with LUL, and new control centres. The role of sponsor involved working with external parties to secure the necessary funding, completion of associated commercial agreements, compliance with project governance, engaging with and managing project deliverers and acting as Client Rep on behalf of Network Rail under CDM 2015.For the majority of this period I was also responsible for managing a team of approximately 25-30 project managers, engineers and site construction staff who made up the Routes Asset Protection team.
