During my co-op at British Columbia Investment (BCI) in Victoria, BC, I served as a member of the private equity team, specifically within the Venture & Growth department. My responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, including conducting sector research, performing due diligence, creating financial models, and developing presentation decks. A significant part of my role involved an in-depth analysis of AI and its impacts on businesses across various industries. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with other teams, presenting my research findings to senior executives, attending high-level meetings with internal and external stakeholders, and receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.

I founded Level Up Ecom Consulting with a focus on aiding current and aspiring entrepreneurs to achieve success in the e-commerce industry. As part of my role, I built and managed a team of seven individuals, whose responsibilities ranged from coaching to securing clients.Under my leadership, we established a significant social media presence by creating value-based e-commerce content, amassing a following of over 70,000. We offered a variety of services, including a mentorship program, one-on-one consulting calls, and pre-built e-commerce stores, catering to the diverse needs of our clients.In addition to our consulting services, we also successfully ran multiple direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands, further solidifying our expertise and reputation in the industry.Throughout this venture, I honed my coaching, client relations, and team management skills, which were instrumental in our success. In summary, my experience with Level Up Ecom Consulting provided me with a hands-on understanding of the e-commerce industry and the opportunity to develop key entrepreneurial skills.

During my first year at the University of Victoria, I co-founded NCL Marketing, a venture dedicated to bolstering the online advertising presence of small businesses through social media. As part of my role, I identified potential clients, initiated cold-call solicitations to business owners, created digital marketing campaigns and crafted customized proposals for in-person meetings.I was instrumental in developing and managing tailored social media advertising campaigns for five businesses, ensuring their unique needs and goals were met. To streamline operations, I created custom templates for proposals, client reporting, invoicing, and internal accounting, thereby enhancing our efficiency and professionalism.Despite our early success, with revenue totaling $8,500 in just five months, operations were unfortunately ceased in March 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 on our clients' businesses, which led to a significant reduction in advertising spend.In summary, my experience with NCL Marketing allowed me to apply my entrepreneurial spirit and marketing skills in a real-world setting, providing invaluable insights into the challenges and rewards of running a small business.
