I focused on a wide variety of geotechnical and tailings field, lab, and office work:• Dam Safety Reviews and Dam Safety Inspections, including design and closure recommendations;• Slope stability and liquefaction assessment of tailings and soils based on CPT and laboratory testing results;• Developing geotechnical investigations and laboratory programs to characterize sites, foundation materials, tailings, and waste materials. • Lab testing and result interpretation including index testing, and a variety of advanced tests (triaxial, direct shear, direct simple shear, bender element, permeability) for geotechnical and mine tailings design;• Dynamically applying knowledge of in-situ and lab based soil testing to investigate soil profile and properties, groundwater properties, and strength parameters to allow for quality geotechnical design;• Extracting rock core samples and performing lab testing (PLT, UCS, Cerchar) to evaluate Rock Quality Designation (RQD) and bedrock strength conditions; • Performing quality control and assurance for the installation of bored cast-in-place, driven, and hybrid piles to ensure design criteria are met;• Performing subsurface pavement structure evaluation to design and repair municipal roadways and parking areas to improve user experiences;• Interpreting drawings and inspecting soldier pile and lagging, MSE, and shotcrete retaining walls for quality and adherence to design to ensure safe work environments;

Thesis: "Static and Dynamic Response of Silty Toyoura Sand with PVA Fibres and Cement Additives"• focused on stabilization of silty Toyoura sand against liquefaction caused by earthquake loading. The macroscopic lab regimen consisted of cyclic triaxial, bender element, Rowe cell, oedometer, and direct shear testing. Microscopically, the soil structure was evaluated using mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), computerized tomography (CT), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) testing.Lab technician for "Joint Venture Panama" • provided accurate and timely permeability measurements of mine tailings using a Rowe cell.Teaching Assistant for Engineering Case Studies and Project Management courses;• actively lead group discussions on the importance of engineering principles, practices and ethics while providing individualized constructive feedback

• Showcased to students, faculty, and the general public the environmental initiatives within LEED silver and gold rated buildings on campus;• Emphasized the global impact of sustainability, environmental leadership, and engineering green design and how involvement of individuals can lead to a healthier environment.
