Part-time contractor for a start-up, making significant contributions across the stack to build a B2B e-commerce platform to facilitate the exchange of medical overstock. Designed the UI and implemented the frontend logic for the watchlist capabilities of the site, allowing users to add and remove items, as well as edit notification preferences for items in their watchlists. Worked closely with a UI designer to implement the styles across most of the site using Tailwind CSS. Developed custom hooks and context providers with React to create a performant and maintainable application. Led the largest CS club at Colorado School of Mines, reestablishing a community for passionate CS students to share knowledge and learn about CS outside of the classroom following the COVID-19 pandemic. Established a mentorship program to foster a strong community in ACM and CS@Mines as a whole. Improved meeting format to vastly improve attendance later in the semester. Introduced workshops to help students build resumes, start side projects, deploy their software, and more. Organized one of the largest high school programming competition in the country, with more than 200 students from nine states. Expanded the number of leadership positions to better distribute workload among officers, and allow for the largest officer team yet.

Configured and deployed a dozen-container Kubernetes cluster on Azure Cloud for a microservices-based e-commerce application. Developed an automated CI pipeline to redeploy microservices in ten minutes with GitHub Actions. Designed and implemented an interactive form with React to allow users to quickly list a product on an e-commerce application. Identified, created, and completed stories in pursuit of larger goals with minimal guidance from more senior engineers. Participated in design sprints to collect and evaluate client requirements. Led client demos to showcase and gather feedback on development progress.

Collaborated with a research team to identify improvement in design skills from enrollment in a project-based class. Presented the results of a novel research project at the 2021 Mines Undergraduate Research Symposium, winning 1st place Oral Talk. Improved score consistency by 50% by participating in discussions to eliminate ambiguities in the scoring rubric.

Collaboratively developed a through-wall pose estimator to support search & rescue operations. Designed and iteratively optimized a deep learning model with Keras to analyze spatial RF data, and predict the location of a dozen human body parts, through walls, with an error of only 16cm. Implemented custom loss functions and applied regularization techniques to prevent overfitting and gradient explosion on a complex model with more than 4 million trainable parameters. Developed a preprocessing pipeline to interpolate spatial data from spherical to cartesian space. Developed a custom data loader with Tensorflow to move more than 50GB of data between disk and memory during model training, allowing for zero delays from data loading
