Working with several local NHS Trusts and organisations and building contractors and consultants providing varied assistance such as preparing estimates for construction projects, Quantity Surveying, Project management and planning, organising labour, preparing wages, cost management, buying and sourcing materials, client liaison, receiving client brief and publishing the information in a readily available format for future use, specification writing, construction design, Autocad drawing production, preparing planning designs for health/housing/private clients & business development.

Providing project management and building services for clients. Currently acting for an NHS trust working in an Acute hospital providing estates project management, working for Southern health delivering the refurbishment of an Acute Adult mental health unit, working for a carpentry contractor providing surveying duties, and working for a building contractor providing estimating and quantity surveying duties.

As head of the capital projects I led a team of project managers to deliver the annual capital budget for an Acute Trust. The principle was to take the clients brief from paper and deliver a fully working scheme, on time and to budget. The process involved working closely with the client to develop the project brief, design the works, write specifications, provide budget estimates for the potential scheme, submit planning and building regulation applications, prepare and tender the works with external contractors, provide tender return reports for the client and present the findings to the chief executive/client. Issue works orders to main contractors and run the projects often within a live hospital environment. In addition I outsourced projects obtaining fee bids form designers/architects and acting on behalf of the hospital as the lead contact. Manage approximately 10 directly employed operatives, given guidance, managing work load, HR issues etc.

Freelance project manager working directly for the NHS Capital Esates Department. Role was to work closely with the client to take and develop the brief, work the brief upto a scheme that could be costed for tender purposes, receive the tenders and issue orders to the main contractor, run the contract to completion and hand over to the cleint. Monitor costs, programme and manage daily working issues such as noise, dust and client changes.
