Watch this space for more information!I was previously based at Van Der Meer Consulting as a Senior Structural Steel Detailer/Modeller. The detailing arm is an industry leader and delivers some of the nations most interesting work. In my short time with VDM, I've led the Frankston Train Station Project and Adelaide Airport (Terminal Expansion Project).In 2019 I completed my Bachelor in Business, Marketing major.Previously I was working with Amma Steelworks as Sales & Marketing/Chief Estimator, which was a unique hands-on role that is primarily responsible for the acquisition of work. As a leader within the business with two direct reports, I’ve saw revenue increase as much as 75%. Additionally, I had: developed a cost-effective, collaborative project manage package (which has tracked 400+ jobs since last year); established an inter-department communication system, improved existing process and introduced all new processes (such as a variations process); committed to the collecting and analysis of data assisting top-level decision making and more, all led from the 'middle'. Over a two year period I had increased revenue significantly, saved the business hundreds of thousands and improved workflow and efficiency. Prior, I worked with Lifestyle Solutions as a Community Support Worker, gaining qualification in the social services space with a Certificate IV in Community Services. I worked primarily in residential out of home care with at risk youth with moderate to extreme behaviours.In 2011 I worked for ‘She Rescue Home’ in Cambodia as a Project Supervisor, supporting young girls rescued from sex trafficking. It was a life-changing experience.I gained knowledge in Structural Steel Detailing through a 5-year traineeship in Cairns, my hometown. I extended my experience at SteelCAD in Brisbane.My skill set - like my experience - is broad. I also dabble in photography, design and web.
