Awarded the competitive NIH fellowship grant which supports pre-doctoral training and research for my project titled “Social Health Factors Associated with the Transition from Acute to Chronic Low Back Pain.”

Research Assistant for two prospective cohort studies investigating back pain. Focus on data collection, the implementation of social and biological measures, and the monitoring of recruitment strategies.

Worked with a diverse team of epidemiologists, applied statisticians, software developers, and external collaborators to solve important problems in medicine and public health. Designed and implemented research studies using complex, real-world data, including insurance claims and electronic health records. Experienced in use of cutting-edge pharmacoepidemiology and advanced statistical methods.

Year-long program for faculty, staff, and students with existing research design knowledge aims to increase knowledge and skill in the design and conduct of health disparities research.

Two-year fellowship with didactic coursework and hands-on experiential learning focused on preparing clinicians to become leaders and scholars in quality improvement and implementation science. Performed multiple systematic reviews and collaborated on a multi-site pragmatic clinical trial.
