Interns are able to get a broad sense of what a Community Health and Wellness employee does. I was able to attend multiple coalition meetings for Jefferson county, who were representing the overall health and wellness of their cities. There were also several opportunities to go to wellness fairs and community wellness events. I was also able expand my knowledge of different computer programs such as Canva and Microsoft Office and Publisher for marketing purposes throughout different branches of the hospital, as well as, the Community Health and Wellness department.
