In this position, I closely analyzed state statutes and federal contracting requirements to ensure contract compliance. I effectively applied regulatory research findings to develop and write departmental contracting policy. Further, I conceived, led, and developed several process improvement projects, including a productivity metric collection initiative to streamline operations and establishment of a legal language guidance database. Communicating these process improvement findings and policy recommendations to all levels of management and to coworkers and peers across the organization was also a key responsibility and skill of mine. As a core responsibility, I provided excellent customer service daily, regularly working with external customers and training internal customers from all areas of the department on complex contracting regulations. Finally, I drafted and negotiated contracts associated with millions of dollars of state and federal funds.

Drafting legal documents, including naming rights agreements, amendments and additions to city codes, and data practices policies were all important aspect of the job.
