I am not your typical Finance Director.I am of course a qualified accountant [FCMA] however I have substantial experience of various sectors and skills beyond the norm for an FD from working on the then largest £705m MBO to operating as the head of a trust/financial services business for the last 12 years. Motivational senior leader and experienced director with stature and commercial skills required to operate effectively as part of a board/senior management team; ability to empathise with colleagues at all levels and drive through change to deliver vision/strategy. Adaptable, enthusiastic with passion & drive to get involved in the detail, whilst contributing to strategic debate. Delivers on agreed promises balancing quality service against cost to serve and inherent risks. Orchestrated and spearheaded Business Transformation; Mergers & Acquisitions; Financial Modelling and Risk Management.     Business acquired from Barclays in 2017 by family owned Zedra Group and I was appointed as MD leading 95 colleagues. I orchestrated the replacement of Barclays’ matrix style operating model creating a self-sufficient standalone SME which was most profitable in the Group delivering 110% of EBITDA plan.Created support teams for finance and business development – former introduced reporting required by the new SME organisation and Group - worked with latter to generate sustainable new business flow via new channels whilst ensuring existing clients understood changed business philosophy. On becoming Zedra I introduced a communication programme to share new corporate values resulting in only 0.1% client attrition.Spearheaded transformation programme to replace 20 year old legacy platform with up to date administration system. Data transfer problematic given age - user testing vital to ensure completeness of data and to successfully deliver on time/budget. Used systems change program as an opportunity to re-engineer the operating model to improve customer experience, efficiency, productivity and hence profitability.
