As FD worked closely with established MD setting, reviewing and resetting key performance targets – assessing impact on budgets and generating action plans to deliver forecast and operational goals. Plant Hire division of construction group providing services to construction industry - £20m turnover with 300 staff and £20m of assets available to hire from 2 depots serving 40+ construction sites. Brought in as inaugural FD to work with the MD in creating a strategy to expand the business. Review of balance sheet identified significant control weakness.

Joined as Business Planning Manager and worked in several roles across car and truck leasing culminating in securing role of FD of Lex Transfleet [Logistics and Commercial Vehicle services] managing 50 staff across broad range of disciplines.

Highlight of period here was working with the Group Board on creating the then largest Management Buy-Out at £705m along with subsequent re-financing.
