I’m an experienced balance sheet manager with a history of leading talented and motivated teams in bank risk management, internal audit and asset & liability management (ALM).I’m responsible for the ongoing design and implementation of the bank’s Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) agenda, as part of the Capital & Liquidity team at AIB, one of Ireland’s major retail banks. I provide a strategic decision making tool for senior management, that’s also a product pricing and performance measurement tool for customer facing businesses.Previously, I led AIB’s ALM development team for 10 years, implementing the QRM application and guiding its rollout to areas such as interest rate risk management, earnings sensitivity analysis, regulatory liquidity reporting and RWA forecasting.My colleagues know me as a trusted source of knowledge on banking and balance sheet management. I consistently foster productive and collaborative relationships with them, so that we can work together to develop practical solutions to complex problems.Throughout my career, I’ve been lucky to meet people that wanted to pass on their knowledge and develop my potential. I enjoy doing the same for others. This led me to join the ALMA Education Committee in 2016, during the development of the Certificate of Banking Asset and Liability Management (CertBALM®) and have been supporting ALMA education since then.My role as a mentor for the students studying for the CertBALM® recognises my expertise in bank asset & liability management. My quantitative and data analytical skills have developed from my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Applied Mathematics from Dublin City University.I combine business acumen and a results focus with project and people management skills to give strategic insights to customers, deliver against challenging timelines, while creating capacity by developing the pool of high-value, skilled staff within the organisation.I look forward to connecting with you.
