As a Senior Operations Engineer with The Now Factory, I am responsible for deploying our Network Probing Solutions. This entails physically installing our proprietary H/W on customer sites and integrating our Solution with the Customers Data Network Infrastructure.- Full Ownership of deployment from point a Solution Description is produced to Customer Acceptance of Solution.- Installation of H/W within Customers Data Center. - Perform Acceptance testing of our Solutions with the Customer. - Provide interactive training to our customers once Solutions have been deployed.- Provide handover documentation from Operations Deployment team to Support team involving full solution description. - Investigate & Troubleshoot Issues raised by the Customer providing front line support and delivering solutions via configuration changes where possible. - Provide detailed analysis of issues to allow our Software Engineers to deliver fixes via code changes when required. - Upgrade Software to latest releases as they become available. - Operations Product Lead on our Gn & ISP probing solution ( Produce Installation Guides for major releases, review release notes and maintain an Operations Knowledge base detailing same ).

Tivoli Software Products 3rd Level SupportResponsibilities- Provide 3rd Level support for TADDM (Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager). This involved investigating, debugging and providing solutions for raised issues. Fixes were provided via configuration workaround’s or code changes.- Integrate code changes within our Source Control Product to ensure all code changes are maintained in future releases. - Performing regression testing when any changes made.- Produce weekly reports on bug fixes to senior management. Skills- Troubleshoot issues on a wide range of platforms depending on the customer’s environment (Linux, Windows Server 2003, AIX).- Java Development.- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Excellent customer facing skills and flexibility to support customers in other time zones.

Responsibilities- Primary developer for a number of prepaid initiatives. Solutions were implemented using Perl (Net::FTP, DBI, Regular Expressions, etc) and Oracle across both Alcatel (Voice Rating ) and Redknee ( SMS Rating ) platforms. - Involved in upgrading the Alcatel Open Services Platform. This involved a hardware upgrade ( Additional SDP, Data Replication Node), rating engine upgrade (2.5.1) and the introduction of new services ( Charging Gateway, Notification Server, Customer Care Services ). Carried out acceptance testing and all of the above services.- Troubleshooting of issues reported by Customer Service in relation to Customers prepaid experience ( Analysis of logs across multiple platforms for both Voice and SMS - Bash, AWK ). Achievements- Achieved Highest (1) Rating in the performance review of my last 12 months with O2- Awarded Company wide Monthly achievement award for Feb ’08 for my involvement in the delivery of O2 Experience which was a prepaid initiative to reward customers for topping up by a certain amount per month.
