All aspects of maintenance from outside the gates at the entrance to every inch of the course.Handling all maintenance aspects on course and staff management, I have years of experience here in Rathbane. I have put my own fertiliser program in place for a number of years with great results, including objectives such as thatch reduction, integrated stress management and pest management practices, moss reduction, increasing frequency of topdressing and the annual amounts.I have reduced fungicide application to an absolute minimum in order to protect wildlife which has recently flourished with our integrated wildlife corridors. I am extremely committed to environmental protection and presentation of local flora and fauna. I restrict the use of herbicides as much as possible as they can also be damaging to the environment. this is achieved through clever usage of fertilizers at the right time of the year, especially spring and autumn.

Haste Hill Golf course was opened in 1926 and was designed by Harry Colt. The courses opening hole starts with a stunning short par 3 surrounded with 5 bunkers.

A 6 hole Reinstatement Project undertaken by Mack Golf, Colm McCarthy was at the helm of the project. The development called for the reinstatement of the golf course to its original condition. There was one or two minor alterations that were agreed upon prior to to construction. The greens were seeded with A4 Creeping Bent with all work done in house fully supervised by Colm.
