I spent 3 years working with this small, privately-run outdoor education company in southern California that partnered with school districts from across the region to run multi-day overnight camp programs for 5th and 6th graders. In my time here, I taught natural sciences to student groups; coordinated supervision, support, and logistics for the instructor staff at our remote site 30 miles from the nearest town; worked with parents and teachers to manage behavioral issues; assisted with facility maintenance; and received medical certification as a Wilderness First Responder.
