My time in the position included coordinating events for various causes, ranging from fundraising dinners to stand-in protests against sexual assault. These events helped to raise money for organizations like: St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Special Olympics MN, PAVSA (Programs aiding victims of sexual assault), and Amber Wing. I oversaw 6 organizations on campus. I worked with my executive board to help balance budgets, organize charity events, raise awareness for select causes, and hold informational meetings and presentations. I was elected during the second year of the organization, so much of my responsibility was altering bylaws and establishing the group within the UMD.
