Originally brought in to fill that "problem solver" role, I assisted the Controller in evaluating and redeploying many areas of both the accounting system and business processes. We audited inventory accounts and accounts receivable to secure a new SBA loan for the company. We also evaluated many of our individual data silos around the organization to create better reporting for the CFO on a real time basis.

After starting as a contract employee assigned to reconcile accounts receivable, I quickly emerged at the organization as a leader and a problem solver. I improved all reporting processes, including automating KPI reporting to Project Managers all around the country. I also implemented a new budgeting process during a time of growth for the company, and I managed the entire budget process from start to finish, including monthly budget to actual reporting.

After six months working as a Note Assistant, Liberty Bank quickly realized that I had outgrown my current position. Given the banking environment, and particulary lending around commerical real estate and land development, at the time, Liberty Bank and it's auditors decided to create this position. I essentially aided our internal audit and asset management staff in evaluating large sources internal and external data to determine portfolio strategies for the bank as a whole, with a particular focus on commercial real estate.
